PRACTICAL GUIDANCE

Get urgent help

Call first when there is immediate danger. Give a precise location and ask nearby staff to help.

Use the right number

In mainland China: police 110, ambulance 120, fire 119. Tell the operator the city, street, building or landmark, what happened and whether anyone is injured. Stay on the line and follow instructions. Language support varies; a nearby hotel, station or shop employee may help communicate.

Keep these details available

The Chinese phrases beside the call actions can help you ask another person for assistance. Fill in your location when speaking or showing the message.

  • Your hotel’s Chinese address and current location.
  • Passport identity information and your insurer’s emergency-assistance contact.
  • Medication names, allergies and a trusted contact if relevant.
  • The consular emergency contact for your own country.

For a non-emergency problem

Use NIA 12367 for immigration questions, the railway’s 12306 service for railway matters, and the actual provider’s support for a failed payment or ride. A general travel website cannot dispatch responders. The call buttons require a device and phone service that can place local calls.

Useful questions

Can this website send an ambulance or track my location?

No. It provides numbers and phrases only. Call 120 directly for a medical emergency and tell the operator where you are.

Should I call my insurer before urgent medical help?

Get immediate help when needed. Contact the insurer as soon as practical for their assistance process; do not delay emergency care to complete an online form.
